To create a painting is like life. We manifest an illusion that is apparently seperate from us so we can experience, in reflection, who we truly are. Like a life scenario that plays out and teaches us what it is to be human, a painting can strike a chord within us that deepens our whole understanding of ourselves. Art can invoke emotion, which we feel in our bodies, which brings us back into our experience of ourselves... the only purpose for the outer reality to even exist. Art is passage to our true nature... the journey to where we already are.

I see things not as they are, but as I am. This is the foundation and point of departure for all my work.
